Hi, I'm Gabrielle Purdy!

Art has always been more than just a passion—it’s been a constant in my life, a way to express myself, and a connection to the people I love. Growing up in Justin, Texas, I spent countless hours making art with my mom, sister, and grandma. At just nine years old, I knew art education was my path and set my sights on UNT. When I set my mind to something, there is hardly anything that can get in my way, and that determination has shaped my journey as an artist and educator.

After a house fire, we moved to Ponder, where life stayed just as full of creativity and adventure. I now live with my parents, my sister and her husband, my grandparents, and our three dogs. Outside, our home is even livelier, with my chickens and turkeys roaming around.

My family—my incredible support system, my mini army—has stood by me every step of the way, encouraging my love for art and teaching. Whether I'm creating in my studio, taking care of my animals, or inspiring students in the classroom, I give everything my all. Art has shaped who I am, and I’m excited to share that passion with the next generation of young artists.
